Sayghan District

Saighan (also Saraik is also known as Saighan, Saighān, Saraik, Sarayek, Sarāyek, Sayghan, Sayghān, Seyghan, Seyghān.) is a district in Bamyan Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of 23,215 ().〔("Bamyan PDP Provincial profile" National Area-Based Development Program (NABDP), Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (2007) ), accessed 25 November 2008, citing as a source: "CSO/UNFPA Socio Economic and Demographic Profile" (2003)〕 It was created in 2005 from part of Kahmard District, and until 2004 was part of Baghlan Province. The Da Eman Coal Deposits are located in Sayghan District, but have yet () to be fully commercially exploited.〔
